John Snyder, owner of a public relations firm in Maryland, has done what many of us have often said we’d like to do: take the memories of our older relatives and record them for future generations. Last year Snyder published “The Golden Ring” (Mountain Breeze Publishing, $15.95), a well-received Christmas story his grandmother; Anna Snyder, shared with him. It’s the true story of a young girl growing up in 1918 in a small town in Pennsylvania. In the midst of the barely contained excitement of Christmas, Anna shows the true meaning of the season.
Snyder will be signing copies of his book from moon-3 p.m. Monday at Waldenbooks in Coliseum Mall, Hampton and 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Hampton Books-A-Million, 7 Towne Center Way. On Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m., he will be at the Williamsburg Books-A-Million, 1254 Richmond Road. Don’t miss this opportunity to pick up a signed copy of this heartwarming and original Christmas tale.
